Voltage & Current Limits: Use this coupler strictly for low-voltage Ethernet network communications and Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications. Do not connect it to telephone landlines with active high-voltage ring currents or live AC power lines.
Cable Strain Relief: Avoid applying heavy tension, tight bending, or sharp pulls on the connected patch cables at either end of the coupler to prevent pin deformation or housing fractures.
Indoor Dry Location Use: This coupler is designed for indoor use. Keep it away from moisture, direct water spray, or high-humidity environments unless enclosed within a NEMA/IP-rated waterproof junction box.
Proper Shielding Grounding: When using shielded FTP/STP patch cables to reduce EMI, ensure the rest of your network path (patch panels, switches, and grounded outlets) is correctly grounded so the coupler's metal shield performs effectively.
Clean Port Connections: Inspect the RJ45 female ports for dust, debris, or bent gold-plated pins before inserting cable plugs. Disconnect power from PoE lines prior to cleaning with dry compressed air.
