Key Features

Long-Distance Single-Mode Conversion

Converts 10/100Base-TX copper Ethernet signals to 100Base-FX single-mode fiber optic signals, extending transmission distances up to 25 km.

Dual SC Fiber Interface

Equipped with dedicated TX (transmit) and RX (receive) SC-type optical connectors for stable, full-duplex data transfer over standard single-mode fiber patch cables.

Auto-MDI/MDIX & Auto-Negotiation

The RJ45 Ethernet port automatically detects network speed (10 Mbps or 100 Mbps) and configures crossover or straight-through cable connections without requiring manual DIP switch adjustments.

Comprehensive Diagnostic LED Panel

Features front-facing LED indicators for Power (PWR), Link/Act, Full/Half Duplex (FDX), and Fiber Status (FX TX/RX), allowing quick, at-a-glance status monitoring and network troubleshooting.

Compact Heavy-Duty Metal Chassis

Enclosed in a rugged, heat-dissipating metal housing designed for standalone desktop use or installation into standard rackmount media converter chassis.

Plug-and-Play Simplicity

Requires no complex software configurations or driver installations—simply connect power, copper Ethernet, and single-mode fiber for immediate deployment.

Applications

  • Long-Distance IP CCTV & Surveillance Extensions – Extends network connectivity for remote outdoor cameras, gate access control systems, and security booths situated beyond the 100 m copper Ethernet limitation (up to 25 km).
  • Building-to-Building & Campus Networking – Connects separate office buildings, warehouses, or educational facilities over a dedicated single-mode fiber link without requiring expensive active network routing equipment.
  • High-Noise Industrial Fiber Backbones – Replaces copper Ethernet links in electrically noisy industrial environments—such as near high-voltage lines, heavy generators, or manufacturing equipment—eliminating EMI/RFI signal corruption.
  • Service Provider & ISP Last-Mile Delivery – Acts as an economical optical demarcation device for delivering 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet connections from ISP fiber lines into customer premises equipment (CPE).
  • Enterprise Network Distance Expansion – Integrates distant workstation clusters, remote access points, or isolated network switches back to the primary core server rack.

Safety & Compliance

Important Safety Instructions:

  • Avoid Direct Laser Eye Exposure: Never look directly into the optical SC ports (TX/RX) or the tip of connected single-mode fiber cables while power is supplied. The invisible infrared laser emission can cause severe or permanent eye damage.
  • Use Correct Power Supply: Operate the unit exclusively with the specified manufacturer power adapter (5V DC). Using an incompatible voltage or reverse-polarity supply can permanently damage internal transceiver circuits and present a electrical fire risk.
  • Maintain Dust Covers on Unused Ports: Keep protective rubber dust caps installed over the SC optical ports whenever fiber cables are disconnected. Microscopic dust particles on the optical transceiver lenses can cause permanent optical signal loss or physical scratching.
  • Provide Adequate Thermal Ventilation: Ensure the side ventilation slots on the metal chassis remain unblocked. Install the converter on a flat, stable surface or in a chassis rack with adequate clearance to prevent excessive internal heat buildup.
  • Protect Against Moisture and Condensation: Installed exclusively in indoor, climate-controlled environments (0°C to 50°C). Keep away from high-humidity areas, water splash zones, or direct outdoor exposure without an IP-rated weatherproof enclosure.
